Goodbye Lorelei is a turn-based RPG inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, about reading emotion and intent in combat.
You explore a “green-scale” world where color reflects emotion, traveling with a cast of characters whose relationships grow over time and form connections you may not want to say goodbye to.
Enemies do not just act. They think. Their thoughts surface as fragments of what they feel and what they are about to do. You learn to read those signals, to anticipate them, and to respond through timing, awareness, and understanding.
The more clearly you see what is really there, the more the world opens up. Emotion becomes easier to read. Intent becomes harder to ignore. What once felt uncertain begins to take shape.
As you begin to understand others, you stop reacting and start responding. Your actions carry intent. They have weight. In facing things honestly, you show your true colors, and the world around you begins to change with you.
Goodbye Lorelei is about saying goodbye. About how people avoid it, distort it, or try to outrun it, and what it means to face something honestly, to accept what is real, and to move forward without losing what mattered.
How will you say goodbye?
